Unveiling Unexpected Connections:
Trees, the Human Nervous System, and Persian Rug Design.
At first glance, trees, the human nervous system, and Persian rug design appear to be entirely distinct entities. However, a deeper exploration reveals intriguing intersections, particularly in the context of human well-being and our relationship with the environment.
Following my back surgery, which required the placement of a metal implant in my back, I embarked on a journey to walk in Central Park, New York City, during the spring season. Initially, walking presented challenges, necessitating a step-by-step approach that compelled me to pay attention to the surrounding trees. As they emerged from their winter slumber and began to blossom, I witnessed a profound transformation that mirrored my own recovery process. Each day, I gradually increased my walking distance, uncovering new wonders of nature. Simultaneously, I delved into the intricacies of the human nervous system, discovering a remarkable correspondence between the intricate patterns of the trees’ branches and the intricate networks of human nerves. With each passing day, I gradually uncovered the stunning design of the trees’ branches, which closely resembled the intricate patterns of Persian rugs such as the Mahestan, Tabriz, Isfahan, and Josheghan rugs.
After months of immersing myself in nature, I made the decision to capture these captivating designs through my camera, comparing them to renowned Persian rug designs. This project allowed me to recognize a transformative shift in my perspective, enabling me to perceive a multitude of previously unseen elements. By allowing the photographs to guide me, I ultimately discovered that my vision had transcended the art realm and entered the realm of invisible world. Through this journey, I found a profound connection with the earth and nature.
